on hold. The seemingly ageless kicker re-injured his right groin during the Indianapolis Colts' victory over Buffalo on Sunday Authentic T.Y. Hilton Jersey , underwent an MRI on Monday and coach Frank Reich acknowledged he might miss next weekend's game at Oakland.Vinatieri first appeared on the injury report in Week 5 before facing his former team, New England. The 43-year-old looked fine in the game, making a 54-yard field goal and finishing with six points to move within 20 of breaking Morten Andersen's league scoring record of 2,544 points. The Colts kicker added three more field goals in Week 6 against the New York Jets and another against the Bills — though he also missed two extra points in a game for the first time in his 23-year career. He needs five points to move past Andersen."We just know he felt a little something on the first PAT, so we are just going to see how the week progresses," Reich said on a conference call. "We're going to bring in some kickers, just so you guys know, but we are not going to make any decisions until later."Vinatieri has been a model of consistency throughout his career. His legacy as the best clutch kicker in history began with two kicks in the "Snow Bowl", one to force overtime and one to beat Oakland in overtime. That victory helped lead New England to its second Super Bowl appearance. Two weeks later, he made the winning kick in the final minute to give the Patriots their first championship since the AFL-NFL merger. He made another last-minute, Super Bowl-winning kick two years later to give the Patriots the second of their five Lombardi Trophies. The story continued after he signed with Indianapolis before the 2006 season. Vinatieri made five field goals in a divisional-round matchup at Baltimore, a game in which no touchdowns were scored, to help send the Colts on their first title run since moving to Indianapolis.Vinatieri has four championship rings, is a three-time All-Pro selection and last month broke Andersen's record for field goals. Andersen finished with 565. Vinatieri has 571.And Vinatieri has achieved all those feats largely because of his uncanny ability to stay healthy. He's missed only 15 games during his career Authentic Chester Rogers Jersey , 10 coming in 2009 when he finished the season on injured reserve. This injury even caught Reich by surprise."I thought he was just like a robot," Reich said. "He's a machine. But the good thing is he has that mental toughness, that mindset to do what he has done in his career. You know he has the right mindset to get past this — whatever course it should take."Now, though, Reich & Co. must figure out their next move.Reich doesn't anticipate Indy (2-5) signing Vinatieri's potential replacement immediately and instead will rely on trainers to closely monitor Vinatieri's health, consulting Vinatieri before making a decision.Keeping him out this week could work to Vinatieri's advantage, too.The Colts have a bye following the Raiders game, giving Vinatieri two weeks to heal, then play three straight games in the climate-controlled confines of Lucas Oil Stadium.Sitting out a week also could help Vinatieri achieve his stated preference of breaking Andersen's record on his home turf — even if this wasn't how he planned it."Ultimately when you've got a guy like Adam, who's just so unique, we are going to listen to him," Reich said. "We are going to listen to the trainers and that will be what will inform our decision."NOTES: Reich provided no updates on tight end Erik Swoope, who did not return after hurting his knee Sunday, or defensive lineman Jihad Ward Authentic Braden Smith Jersey , who was carted off the field after appearing to injure his right ankle. ... Reich also could not say whether Pro Bowl tight end Jack Doyle (hip) could return this week. Doyle has missed six straight games.Fantasy Start or Sit: Colts vs Bengals Week One The NFL regular season is finally here, which means fantasy football becomes more impactful. Here’s the weekly edition of Stampede Blue’s start or sit. Start: Jordan Wilkins and Joe Mixon, Running BackThe hamstring injury to Marlon Mack has put a cloud of doubt on whether he will be ready for Sunday’s game, and Robert Turbin will not be in action due to the fact he will be serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs. That means a heavy workload should be heading towards the way of Jordan Wilkins. Wilkins may not be in the same tier of starting running backs with Todd Gurley, Le’Veon Bell, or David Johnson — but success in fantasy football is predicated around players who will have the ball in their hands the most. Behind an offensive line that is working towards being good again, Wilkins showed flashes of his potential when the line blocks effectively, carrying the ball 13 times for 47 yards in the first two games of the preseason. Against the San Francisco 49ers, the former Ole Miss star carried the ball 14 times for 27 yards. While the yardage isn’t as high as fans may have hoped for, the fact that he’s getting the reps is a good sign for fantasy owners looking for a plug in player in their lineup. Another aspect of Wilkins’ game that may have gone unnoticed is his ability to catch the ball out of the back field, grabbing five throws for 57 yards. With that, he has a lot of potential with the amount of reps that are about to come his way — if Mack indeed sits out week one. On the other side of the ball, the Bengals have a supremely talented running back in Joe Mixon. It’s no surprise the Colts will be a work in progress on defense this year, which means they are bound to give up some fantasy points to running backs and receivers. One of the biggest holes in the run defense for Indianapolis is right up the middle. The Colts struggled at times throughout the preseason to stop the run in the A gap (between the center and guard). Start: Jack Doyle or Eric Ebron , Tight EndThe Colts are still looking for a wide receiver to step up as the go-to No. 2 guy, which means Andrew Luck is bound to target TY Hilton a numerous amount of times. But Luck can’t throw to Hilton on every single pass play, and that means Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron should see a lot of targets head in their direction.Ebron showed a lot of promise in the preseason with Luck behind center, catching nine passes for 73 yards and touchdown — which was Luck’s first and only touchdown throw of the four preseason games. Ebron is a big target, standing at 6-foot-5. If the Colts can get a lot of red-zone appearances, then the former Detroit Lion tight end should see targets in that area. On the other side of the spectrum, Doyle is coming off his best season of career in 2017 — tallying 80 catches and four touchdowns. Doyle didn’t get a lot of reps in the four preseason contests, but that shouldn’t be alarming to fantasy owners. A year ago, Doyle was targeted nine times or more in ten of the 16 games. With an upgrade at quarterback, owners should expect the same amount, with a lot more results.
